About the Recipe

Simple ingredients, easy directions, and links for what I used. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • 2 tbsps olive oil

  • 2 tbsps peanut butter

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

  • 1/4 cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Add chickpeas, olive oil, peanut butter, and maple syrup to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

  2. Add the rest of ingredient and blend until smooth. Add a tbsp of water or milk if the consistency is too thick and unable to blend.

  3. Serve immediately or refrigerate to thicken up. Serve with fruit or cinnamon sugar crackers.

Cinnamon Sugar Crackers

  1. (Optional) Turn on oven to broil setting.

  2. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon and set aside.

  3. Melt and pour or brush on 1/2 stick of butter to plain crackers of choice.

  4. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture. You can shake everything together in a bag, but it may be unevenly distributed.

  5. (Optional) Place the cinnamon sugar crackers to a baking sheet and broil for a few minutes. Careful not to burn!
